Haury Foundation Honored by U.S Congress
Bethnee and Ed Haury received a Congressional award on June 12th for their contribution to Sonoma County.
The Haury Foundation of Sonoma was presented with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition on June 12 at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 401 South A St. in Santa Rosa. The recognition is among the highest honors a charity can receive from the U.S. House of Representatives. Santa Rosa Mayor Mike Martini, on behalf of Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, presented the Certificate of recognition. The Haury Foundation was honored for its contributions to the community.
Among the contributions cited at the ceremony was the purchase and renovation of an office building at South A Street in Santa Rosa by the Haury Foundation. The building was presented to The Ananda Institute Family Counseling center to aid in their community outreach. Ananda is the largest counseling center of its kind in Sonoma County.
The Haury Foundation is a privately funded Sonoma County California charitable organization. The Foundations mission is to increase the flow of capital into the foster care programs within the community and to support programs that stress community outreach. Current programs include supporting and funding the acquisition of office and residential facilities for the benefit of these care programs.
The Haury Foundation was created by Ed & Bethnee Haury and does not lobby third party donations or funding at this time.
